[00:00:53] com forward slash quiz. Now on to today's [00:01:00] episode.

[00:01:00]

[00:01:00] Hey, it's Jen. I'm here with this very short, quick hit episode,

[00:01:04] Today's Special Episode: A Vulnerable Share

[00:01:04] where I want to tell you a little bit about this new journaling prompt that I'm trying out. The way that this came about is a little bit of a story and also a little bit vulnerable for me to share here on the podcast with y'all.

[00:01:18] So basically. I have realized for quite a while that I am not quite putting my whole self into my writing. And I can't quite figure out why I can't quite pinpoint it. I'll be consistent for a little while. I'll get to a certain point, but then I won't. Push it to that next level, or I won't go quite all in. I won't share it with other people. I'm really afraid to share my writing sometimes with other people.

[00:01:48] I think a little bit about what is happening is that I am lacking in self-confidence in some ways. And I am lacking a little bit in feeling worthy enough to put this out into the [00:02:00] world.

[00:02:01] Now I'm guessing. That I'm not alone in that feeling. I don't think that I am the only person who has ever had these feelings Or who has ever allowed these feelings to stop them from reaching a really big goal?

[00:02:19] But what I do know now is that. I am going to find the courage to move past those feelings and go after my goal. Anyway.

[00:02:30] And if this resonates at all with you, if this feels like it could be you, if you wonder, Hey, is that maybe why I gave up on that goal a little too quickly. Is that why I'm not sharing my writing? Is that why I'm not running that race that I said I wanted to run. Is that why I'm not putting myself out there at work?

[00:02:49] Is that why I'm not volunteering to lead that particular committee with the PTO or whatever it is? Whatever it is that you inside of your heart, know [00:03:00] that you want to do. But you're just not doing. If that feels like it could be, you.

[00:03:06] The Power of Journaling: A Simple Yet Effective Prompt

[00:03:06] Then I want to share with you this journaling prompt that I've been working on, and it's really simple. It's just. What are five ways in which I was awesome today.

[00:03:18] And every day. Take a minute. Write those down. If it's at the end of the day, do it for that day. If it's at the beginning, maybe do it for the day before. But write down five. Ways. That you were awesome. That particular day. Right down the five wins. Do this for a couple of days and take a look and see if you notice a pattern. Where are you finding your wins? What are your wins looking like? What do you think you're doing

[00:03:51] that is awesome.

[00:03:53] If you see a pattern developing, ask yourself why that is, are all your winds at work? Are all your winds relating to your [00:04:00] role as a mom?

[00:04:01] Or are your wins relating to your other goals? Like writing?

[00:04:05] There's no judgment here. There's no shame in the game. We just want to look and be curious.

[00:04:11] Encouragement and Next Steps

[00:04:11] All right. My friends. I hope you'll give this journaling prompt to try. Let me know what you think. Let me know how it goes. Can't wait to hear from you mom writes first on Instagram. I hope to see you there.
